How Much is The World’s Largest Diamond Worth?
Lesedi La Rona – was unearthed in November of 2015, over half a decade ago. It is confirmed to be the world’s largest uncut diamond ever found so far. Formerly referred to as the Karowe AK6 or Quad 1 by mine personnel, the salient diamond weighing north of 1,109-carats was discovered in the Karowe mine situated in Botswana and was found by Lucara Diamond Corp., a Canadian diamond exploration and mining company.
The diamond’s name ‘Lesedi La Rona’ which translates to “our light” is of Tswana origin, the indigenous native language of Botswana. The uncut diamond which rivals a tennis ball in size is believed to be a stupefying 3 billion years old, one of the oldest diamonds uncovered to this date. Following decades of mining, the Lesedi La Rona is the largest diamond found in over a century.
In 2017, the rough diamond was acquired by British jeweler Graff who had it reshaped into an emerald cut diamond two years later in 2019. The diamond was insured for a staggering $120 million not long ago.
Discovered over a century ago in 1905, the now non-existent 3016.75-carat Cullinan Diamond named after Thomas Cullinan is the only diamond larger than Lesedi La Rona discovered in history. In 1907 the Cullinan Diamond was presented to King Edward VII and shortly afterward, it was cut into nine pieces – all of which were smaller than the Lesedi La Rona – to embellish the British Crown Jewels.
In a recent auction, the Lesedi La Rona’s onerous $70 million price tag proved to be out of the question for all bidders as the diamond went unpurchased. Preceding the diamond’s discovery, in 2009, Lucara Corp. obtained the Karowe mine’s lease for a mere $49 million, far below the diamond’s present-day value.

How Much Does Future Spend on Clothes?
How Much Does Future Spend On Clothes?
Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn, more prominently known by his stage name Future, has been one of the biggest names in the music industry. His influence on the industry, such as helping to usher in a new era of trap music, is remarkable.
It is a known fact that many rappers are pioneers in the fashion world, often revolutionizing and bringing forth new fashion trends themselves. Others love to dabble and stay up to date with the latest trends and style - Future is no exception to this.
You could argue that he even takes it up a notch after the latest news. It is reported that Future spends upwards of $300k on clothes and shoes on a monthly basis. As a self-proclaimed shopaholic, the rapper has a strong affinity to luxurious designer brands. In an interview with the Complex magazine he remarked: “When I get started, I don’t stop.”
In addition to buying for himself, the rapper ensures his family sports nothing short of designer brands. In an interview with reporters, he stated that he spends thousands of dollars on his 9-year-old daughter’s wardrobe which is said to consist of up to twenty Chanel sneakers – mind-blowing, we know.
A fair few of his exorbitant purchases were revealed in the form of an episode of the TV series ‘Sneaker Shopping’ when he became the proud owner of a pair of Givenchy socks and Parada ankle shoes each costing $160 and $1000, respectively.
Despite acknowledging that a budget of $300,000 for clothes is way too much, Future has shown zero interest in scaling back his spending. To this date, he continues to dump thousands of dollars on his wardrobe day in day out. In spite of his desire to put an end to his excessive spending, odds are highly unlikely that it is ending in the foreseeable future.
