Why Levi's Jeans are America’s Favorite Clothes
It’s hard to imagine a life without denim. It’s the world’s most common reinforced fabric and we’ve probably all owned a pair of jeans at some point in our lives.
Jeans, as we know them today, were conceived by Levi Strauss and his methods of riveting the pockets and other parts of the fabric. He went into partnership with San Francisco tailor, Jacob Davis after the latter couldn’t afford the patent that Strauss was proposing to make the fabric last longer. Their invention changed workwear forever - denim was durable and didn't need to be washed as often. And when James Dean was shown wearing a pair of their iconic 501 jeans in Rebel Without a Cause, they found a whole new audience in the shape of that new invention, the teenager.
Combine these two factors of all-American workwear and rebellion and you’ve got the key to the brand’s emergence as a global force to be reckoned with. The rest of the world looked upon these simple trousers as a statement which said so much more than ‘I want a way of keeping my legs warm’. A legend was born.
Despite their popularity, Levi’s has never felt the need to exploit their popularity with extremely expensive prices as some manufacturers have done. There have been experiments with different forms of denim, like the late-90s methods of twisting its seams, but at heart, the brand retains its solidity and tradition.
Fans of fashion can spot short-lived fads from a hundred paces. This has never been an issue with these hard-wearing products. In fact, their Vintage range steps back in time with exact replicas of what made the brand so popular in the first instance. However they’re worn, Levi’s jeans are going to be the denim of choice for Americans for some time yet.

How Much Does Future Spend on Clothes?
How Much Does Future Spend On Clothes?
Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn, more prominently known by his stage name Future, has been one of the biggest names in the music industry. His influence on the industry, such as helping to usher in a new era of trap music, is remarkable.
It is a known fact that many rappers are pioneers in the fashion world, often revolutionizing and bringing forth new fashion trends themselves. Others love to dabble and stay up to date with the latest trends and style - Future is no exception to this.
You could argue that he even takes it up a notch after the latest news. It is reported that Future spends upwards of $300k on clothes and shoes on a monthly basis. As a self-proclaimed shopaholic, the rapper has a strong affinity to luxurious designer brands. In an interview with the Complex magazine he remarked: “When I get started, I don’t stop.”
In addition to buying for himself, the rapper ensures his family sports nothing short of designer brands. In an interview with reporters, he stated that he spends thousands of dollars on his 9-year-old daughter’s wardrobe which is said to consist of up to twenty Chanel sneakers – mind-blowing, we know.
A fair few of his exorbitant purchases were revealed in the form of an episode of the TV series ‘Sneaker Shopping’ when he became the proud owner of a pair of Givenchy socks and Parada ankle shoes each costing $160 and $1000, respectively.
Despite acknowledging that a budget of $300,000 for clothes is way too much, Future has shown zero interest in scaling back his spending. To this date, he continues to dump thousands of dollars on his wardrobe day in day out. In spite of his desire to put an end to his excessive spending, odds are highly unlikely that it is ending in the foreseeable future.
